Best Practices for Adding Key Attributes

  • Use Consistent Naming – Ensure attribute names are consistent across similar products (e.g., “Size” vs. “Sizes”).
  • Keep Attributes Relevant – Only create attributes that provide meaningful information to the customer.
  • Limit Attribute Values – Avoid overcrowding with too many options to keep the selection simple.
  • Use High-Quality Images – If adding thumbnail images, make sure they are clear and accurately represent the product variation.
  • Example:
If you are selling a “Cotton T-Shirt” available in different colors and sizes, create a Key Attribute called “Color” with values like Red, Blue, and Black. Similarly, create a Key Attribute called “Size” with values like S, M, L, and XL. When editing the product, assign these attributes under the “Attributes” tab to allow customers to filter products based on color and size.
